MIHI x Sole Folks: The Future of Film is Female

Made In Her Image partnered with Sole Folks and TecLeimert, two non-profits in Leimert Park, Los Angeles, for a socially distanced outdoor panel discussion and screening. The panel featured four black women in the media industry, ranging from publicity to directing. There were about 30 attendees, including about 20 women of color, who watched the screenings curated by Made In Her Image. A MIHI representative introduced the evening screenings, which included Ballet After Dark (directed by B. Monet), Power of Hope (directed by Kalia Love), Tippy Tippy Top (directed by Lathenia Janae), Souls (directed by Malakai), No Face Benny (directed by Ciara Boniface) and Endure (directed by Jessica Ramirez). The event was a huge success, as it empowered the community, showcased films from women of color, and spread the word about the mission of Made In Her Image.
